    Electrical · Electrical System

Ford sync system - continues to freeze and not function. Navigation system freezes up and/or doesn't work at times. Phone system shows you on a call when you are not. Multiple times not working and is supposed to be hands free. Have had the system replaced and updated and still doesn't work properly or as advertised. Ford case # cas [xxx] keep getting told they have an expert looking in to it and it might be related…

    Electrical · Unknown Or Other

I agree about the microphone on the my touch system. It picks up wind noise, air conditioning/heating fan noise & when it rains, driver can not be heard. It seems that the roof does not have insulation to allow the driver to speak to the microphone without shouting. I did mention this to the ford service department at our local ford dealer and was told that this is the way it comes from the factory. *kb

O/d light spontaneously came on. Can not be turned off. Transmission takes off slow. First gear slams into second, with slow takeoff causes cars behind me to stop short because my takeoff is very slow. *tr

Where to start... Broken cruise control, headlight switch has a short, driver side passenger window doesn't roll down, trouble going into gear, car suddenly dies at interstate speeds, loud grinding sound from the engine bay (like an electric knife sharpener) that is getting increasingly more frequent, service engine soon light will not go off, brakes squeal and don't stop the vehicle properly, support for the hatch…

Electrical · Hinge And Attachments · Lock

Ford replaced the liftgate glass hinge on this explorer per your recall notice on sept. 1, 2005. On january 13, as i closed the liftgate (gently, not slamming it) it exploded into shards of glass that went all over the garage and cut my face. Glass flew in front of the car. I had only closed the liftgate approximately 2 inches from its full open position when this occurred. There was nothing to impede the closure,…

    Electrical · Rack And Pinion

I purchased a 2003 ford explorer new, ever since owning the vehicle, i believe the first 6 months it was in the shop for repairs. Issues with windows, paint bubbling after having the protective coat put on it. There have been far to many issues with this vehicle to even recall. I tried once to get it replaced under the lemon law and was told it did not qualify. The vehicle has only 39,000 miles on it and already has…
