    Tires

These tires started, the same type of cracking as did the 15"tires. We went to the ford dealer and to a firestone dealer, the only thing they kept telling us was that the cracking was normal.and that there wasn't anything they could do , because they were not the tires being recalled. I travel @ 200 miles a day, and we also have a, now 10 mo. Old grandchild. We purchased some goodyear tires for the safefty of our…

I was driving on the freeway at roughly 70mph,when i heard a noise coming from the drivers side rear tire. As i pulled off to safety, i realized the tire was bubbled around the rim, not noticing any punctures, i put the spare on. I am very upset knowing that there are only 25,000 miles on my leased vehicle & i had to replace tires so soon. I do believe there was a defect in the tire itself. Thankfully my family is…

My seventeen year old son, my only child has a 1999 ford explorer. He recently had a blow-out on one of the firestone wilderness at (p255/7016) tires. He was very, very fortunate in that he nor any of his three passengers were injured . They had just exited off a 4-lane 65mph highway and were near ing a residential area. There is no explaination as to why the tire exploded. We contacted the dealer but, they offered…

    Tires

I inspected the tires after recent recall and noticed a symmetrical pattern of cracks on all four tires where the tread meets the sidewall. I have called ford and firestone multiple times and neither are interested in non recalled tires. I have to replace the tires after 23 000 miles (they have plenty of tread depth), as an inspection by a firestone dealer declared they are damaged and are unsafe. I would like to…

We experienced a blowout on the highway at normal speeds in our explorer. Both firestone and ford have refused to discuss with us only saying that the 16 inch tires are safe. Ford referred me to firestone; firestone referred me to ford. This blowout clearly shows that the tire was of substandard quality. We do routine maintenance on our vehicles and keep them serviced at all times, including the tires. This was not…

While inspecting my vehicle to see if the tires were the ones being recalled (i.e looking to see if they had the vd code and were made in decataur), i noticed that my tires have cuts located equidistantly from the center. They range in size fro 1/4" to 1" long and are located on 3 of the 4 tires. I've sent pictures to your webmaster, however, he said to file a complaint using this form. While do not know if these…

Tire blew out at 70 mph. Husband was driving thank god, i would have rolled the truck. I hurt my back while bracing myself, my children were also in the vehicle. He also said nothing was going to be done about it.( dot number: tire size: 15r )

I had a flat tire driving at 45 mph - aired tire up to find hole and the tire was split in the middle and bubbled around the edge of about 1/2 of the tire.
