1999 Ford Explorer Tire Sizes
The 1999 Ford Explorer tire sizes listed here are 235/70R16, 235/75R15, and 255/70R16. These are tire-size designations, not tire pressure or load ratings. The sizes shown are alternatives, so do not assume that every size fits every Explorer or trim.
The listed facts do not specify which size belongs to each engine, trim, or wheel configuration. Check the tire information on the door jamb or in the owner's manual to confirm the size for your vehicle. Those sources should also be used to confirm any rating or specification not shown here.
Use the matching size when replacing tires, and verify fitment against the vehicle's own information rather than choosing from the list alone. If the door-jamb label or manual gives a different size or rating, follow that vehicle-specific guidance.
